Itinerary

Day 1Cusco

Pick up service 4:30 to 5:00am we go 5:00am early in the morning our bus from Cusco Mollepata, arriving in this town around 7:30 am and then will enjoy the breakfast like for forty minutes, and then we will buy some important things for the trek such as the rain plastic poncho, cookies, water bottle and coca leafs to etc. After that we continue by bus for two more hours to reach to Soraypampa (3900msnm) arriving there approximately 11:00am we will stop for a few minutes to relax, after that we prepare our body to hike for more than one hour going up to Umantay, where there is a nice, beautiful, colorful lake called lagoon of Umantay (4300mts) which is one of the most important attraction for the visitor on the trek after the Salkantay and Umantay snow cap mountains, once we enjoyed the view and take some beautiful pictures we return again to Soraypampa, where we will enjoy the lunch and then we take a short nap for 30minutes, to have a good digestion after we ate the lunch around 13:00pm we start with a short hike for an hour or one and a half mores hour to reach to Salkantaypampa (4100msnm). This stretch of walking is going up finally arriving about 3:00pm to Salkantaypampa we will be ready at the campsite.

This short hike for us is more than enough for our acclimatization as well from the campsite will have a nice view to see the second highest snow cap mountain which is call Salkantay (62500m) which is the main objective of the trek at night we will have the tea time, where we take advantage of this time to know a little more in the group and then comes the dinner and time to sleep. Minimum elevation :3850 m Maximums elevation :4100 Distance: 10 kms, 6.1 miles Time: 4 hours hiking

Day 2SALKANTAYPAMPA – QOLLPAPAMPA

We wake up early in the morning to enjoy the breakfast around 7:30am We start hiking for hours approximately to reach to Salkantay pass which is located 4600 msnm on the way will be like face to face with the Salkantay snow cap mountain (6271msnm) once we arrive to the summit around 10:00am or 10:30 am will have a chance to enjoy the view like all surrounding area of the Salkantay mountain it’s very windy and cold, we start moving for two more hours going down for a rocky path taking care with our knees, finally we arrive at Wayraqmachay 3900msnm, where we eat lunch around 13:30pm. After we ate the lunch we start going down this stretch is very scenic and pictures because is part of cloud forest, when the vegetation is a little bit dense and very pretty to enjoy the flora and fauna specially a variety of birds. Finally, like 4:30pm arrive a Chaullay 2900msnm which is the first campsite from here, we have another 30 or 40 more minutes to get to our campsite which is call Qolqapampa (2900msnm) approximately five or five thirty we reach to the campsite of course here we are lower than the first campsite, we will afternoon tea, and dinner. Minimun altitude:2900ms Maximun altitude:4100. Highest pass: 4600 ms DISTANCIA: 15 kms TIME OF HIKE: between 8 TO 9 hours

Day 3QOLLPAPAMPA – LA PLAYA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

At 7:00am we start our trek to La playa through the Santa Teresa valley where we will hike approximately 6 hours the path is up and down like seventy per cent the trail just is down on the way we have so much things to enjoy the climate is perfect today, we are into the high jungle, we will enjoy a variety of flora and fauna. Time to see the birds, wild orchids, but also banana, coffee plantation and why not to enjoy the passion fruit and if we are lucky we have change to see the famous spectacle beer this is a really enjoyable day everything is possible to see on the way as well on the way will have some beautiful spots to take a break. Finally like in 6 hours walking we will enjoy lunch and immediately we take the bus to get to hydroelectric plant, where is located the thick vegetation finally we arrive to hydroelectric plant in one more hour driving, here we take a short break and we have to option to get to aguas calientes town one is to continue 3 more hours hiking on foot, following the train truck path enjoying the beautiful lands cape and of course the surrounding areas of Machupicchu. Instead of the hike, if you are too exhausted, you may take train to aguas calientes the train takes just 45minutes, the 12km distance to reach to aguas calientes once we are everybody in aguas calientes you will have accommodation in a hostal. At night is included the dinner and the briefing for the next day, for everything you make an agreement with our tour guide.

Day 4MACHUPICCHU TOUR

you wake up early to visit to Machupicchu Inca city and have the walking tour for around 2 and a half hours visiting some important religious building and then you will have enough time to explore by yourself late you catch the bus to come down to aguas calientes to take the train and back to Ollantaytambo and then back to Cusco by bus.
