Description
We leave Cusco at 7:00am. Going for Chincheros, high way passing Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. From there we will go straight up at the summit of Málaga pass which is located at 4300 ms. From Cusco till here will take about 3hrs. Afterward, we will go down a windy highway to the final part of the Andes range of Vilcanota. Here we will enjoy specifically the glacier mountain of Veronica, as well as the beginning of the Quillabamba valley, with its plantations of banana, coffee, avocado, and other products of the jungle. From Santa Maria will go straight to Santa Teresa, where we will stop for lunch. From there have like 30 more minutes to hydroelectric powerplant. We will reach approximately at 2:00 or 2:30 pm. From there we will walk about two and a half more hours along the route of the train, enjoying the beautiful trees, and birds of the jungle on the way to Aguas Calientes. We will reach to Aguas Calientes at 6:00pm, go directly everyone to our respective hostals. At night have the dinner in one of the touristic restaurant, there, your guide will give you the programming for the next to visit the Machupicchu Incan Citadel
We have to wake up very early. From 4:30-5:00am we start our walk. The first ten minutes is a walk down to the bridge (Puente Ruinas) where there is the first control point, they will check your ticket and passport, and then will have an hour more walk up at the entrance to Machupicchu. This should take about 45 min to an hour. From there we will enter to the park and will have a guided tour from 6:00am to 8:00 or 8:30am. Once you finish the walking tour will have free time to see the site by yourself. At 11:00am it will be time to go down to the bridge (Puente Ruinas). From there you will turn to the left side way and take the same route along the train tracks to back at the hydroelectric power station, where the bus will be waiting to take you back to Cusco City, for the same route that you went from Cusco We will get to Cusco at about 9:00 or 9:30pm.
Note: If you feel tired after you did the tour in Machupicchu, you can take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. It takes 30 min and costs 12 dollars and take the train service from Aguas Calientes to hydroelectric at 1:00pm for 31 USA AMERICAN DOLLARES its takes just 45 minutes.
